Don’t miss the opportunity on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024 to hear from Ukrainians in the Boston area who are trying to make a difference as Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russia. We will hear from Tetyana Lymar-Payne, a now local resident who grew up in what was initially the Soviet Union and then became its own country of Ukraine.  Join us in the Meetinghouse (church on the common with the clock tower) at 10am to learn why she is an active supporter of Sunflower of Peace.

Sunflower of Peace provides life-saving medical and humanitarian aid to Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion. Sunflower of Peace is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a main office in Newton, MA.

  • Their flagship effort features providing medical backpacks filled with carefully curated critical medical supplies. These backpacks cost $1,000. When possible they also provide ambulances that are bullet protected ($10,000).
  • They identify, procure, and distribute different types of generators to military medics and civilians in need.
  • They provide humanitarian aid and financial assistance to non-governmental and non-profit organizations in Ukraine that serve vulnerable populations: children, women, seniors, and people with disabilities.
  • From gas masks to thermal wear, they aim to respond to urgent requests from military medics and civilians most affected by the war.

Our Outreach Program wants to help. Wouldn’t it be great if we could provide an ambulance along with extra backpacks? Come hear about Sunflower of Peace and consider how you can help. The Outreach Fund will add to your donations. All are welcome!
